EV charging management platform, AMPECO, has announced a partnership with Plugsurfing, in the role of managed roaming provider, serving the European EV charging market. The collaboration gives AMPECO eMSP customers immediate access to more than one million charge points across 28 European countries through a single Roam OCPI integration.
Backed by 800+ international and local charge point operators, Plugsurfing’s network provides an estimated 78% of roaming coverage across Europe, including over 93% coverage for DC/HPC charging across Europe’s best-developed EV charging markets. The network already reaches over 2 million EV drivers and includes major infrastructure providers such as IONITY, Tesla Supercharger, Fastned, Allego and many more. In Germany, France, and the Netherlands alone, coverage exceeds half a million charging points—connecting eMSPs to a diverse network of CPOs.
For AMPECO’s eMSP customers, choosing the managed roaming model, the Plugsurfing partnership streamlines day-to-day operations with consolidated monthly invoicing, automated CDR validation, and invoice reconciliation. Tariff data from connected CPOs and hubs is standardized, and normalized, and available via Roam OCPI with updates that can be pulled as frequently as every minute.
“The partnership with AMPECO enables eMSPs to offer broad, reliable charging access across Europe without the operational overhead of managing roaming themselves. Together, we handle the network relationships and day-to-day operations so they can focus on growing their business.” – Tom Rowlands, Managing Director, Global EV Solutions at Corpay, Plugsurfing’s mother company.
“As the EV charging market in Europe matures, we’re seeing growing demand from our customers for more direct control over key aspects of their business—including their eMSP roaming strategy. At AMPECO, we’re committed to delivering the right fit for each customer, and integrating one of the strongest managed roaming providers on the market gives many of our customers a seamless path to scale.” – Stefan Ivanov, CRO at AMPECO
