Figures have shown that UK public EV charging infrastructure was up by approximately 14,000 units in the 12 months from January 2025 to January 2026, which is more than 1,000 new installations every month.

Neil Barton, SVP of Sales and Marketing, Europe, ChargePoint: “The data shows that the total number of UK public chargers has gone over 120,000 for the first time, which illustrates just how focused the UK now is on the transition to electric vehicles. That’s 12,000 new public chargers since May last year, a pace of 1,000 installations every single month. It’s a trend we want to see continue and accelerate during 2026.”
