Heat network monitoring and metering technology specialist, Guru Systems, has unveiled an app-based pay-as-you-go system which incorporates enhanced interoperability, multiple service and billing providers, as well as encryption and security.
Based on its Guru Hub 3 Core, the new system gives residents a simple app-based way to view and manage their heat account and other utilities, while giving operators a flexible, secure platform for metering, billing and payment management.
Guru’s PAYG system offers the ability to interact and operate with multiple utilities and billing systems, meaning clients can choose between metering and billing providers and easily switch between them. This fits Guru’s ethos of providing an open platform and flexibility to clients.
The system is already integrated with apps from two metering and billing providers, Armadillo Analytics and Data Energy, with plans for more integrations in future. It can manage and monitor up to four utility accounts and two external control devices, allowing fairer, clearer billing, reduced data silos and improved consistency between what is measured and billed.
With security a top priority, the Hub 3 Core uses strong wireless encryption, meaning personal data is transmitted in a secure, private and protected manner. For developers, landlords and heat network operators, this supports a more secure approach to resident metering and payment data.
