Harvard Engineering has been selected as a UK National Finalist for the 2012/13 European Business Awards and will now compete for National Champion status in the next round of the competition.

The European Business Awards showcases Europe’s most dynamic companies, identifying some of Europe’s brightest businesses based on their ability to demonstrate the three core principles at the heart of the awards programme – innovation, business excellence and sustainability.

John McDonnell, managing director at Harvard Engineering, commented, “We are really excited and proud to be representing the UK in the 2012/13 European Business Awards. It is an honour to be recognised as one of the leading companies in the UK. We are looking forward to the next round of the competition.”

The European Business Awards is dedicated to raising the visibility and progress of companies who excel in delivering innovation twinned with successful commercial results, whilst acting responsibly and positively affecting the social environment they operate in.

Harvard will now have to submit a video entry for further assessment by the judging panel, as well as for voting by the general public. The business with the most votes in each nation will automatically gain National Champion status. Voting opens on the European Business Awards website on the 6th September 2012, running until 25th September 2012.

Adrian Tripp, CEO of the European Business Awards, said, “Over the past six years we’ve received an incredibly high standard of entries from organisations that are passionate about their business. However, very few get the chance to fly the flag for their country and compete across Europe to be recognised as one of Europe’s leading companies. It really is an exceptional accolade to be picked as a National Finalist, and together with our sponsors and supporters we’re looking forward to seeing Harvard in the next round.”
