Hitachi Cooling & Heating brand has introduced the PC-ARC-E, a new simplified wired control designed for VRF systems. The eco-compact controller delivers essential functionality with a clear focus on ease of use and value, making it well suited to budget-conscious VRF projects, functional spaces and users who favour straightforward controls.

The PC-ARC-E combines a clean, modern aesthetic with practical ergonomics. Its gently curved surface, 9×9 cm compact footprint, and clear pictogram-based interface make everyday operation effortless, allowing users to adjust key settings at a glance with precise 0.5°C temperature control.
“Our living spaces are often crowded with objects, yet visual harmony remains essential. Products should occupy only the space they need, without sacrificing efficiency,” explains Lawrence Chu, Global Consumer Design Director, and IoT/Connected Solutions Pro at Bosch Home Comfort Group. “We aim to create solutions that work harmoniously in the environments where you live, work, and play.”
Core functions, including temperature and mode selection, are accessible directly from the home screen. A single controller can operate up to 16 indoor units and is fully compatible with all HLINK2 VRF indoor units, offering flexibility across a wide range of applications.
Advanced commissioning with NFC and airCloud Tap
Commissioning is made significantly faster thanks to built-in NFC technology. Installers can configure the controller using the airCloud Tap smartphone app, saving and copying settings between rooms with a simple tap. This is particularly advantageous in hotels, offices and multi-zone buildings. The app also provides access to more than 140 parameters, system data, fault codes and maintenance information, supporting faster and more accurate diagnostics.
Energy-saving and comfort management made simple
The PC-ARC-E includes practical energy-saving features such as weekly scheduling and Peak Cut operation to limit consumption during high-demand periods. Comfort features like GentleCool, which moderates discharge air temperature, and AutoBoost, which cooling on start-up, ensure a pleasant indoor environment throughout the day.
For residential use, a new Sleep Mode gradually adjusts temperature to improve night-time comfort, while hotel applications can integrate key-card systems to activate setback temperatures when rooms are unoccupied. An integrated IR receiver enables seamless use with wireless remote controls, providing a neat and cost-effective solution for ducted units or installations without built-in IR capability, without the need for additional receiver kits.
With its compact design, intuitive interface and advanced commissioning features, the PC-ARC-E eco-compact controller offers an efficient and refined approach to VRF climate control, reinforcing Hitachi Cooling & Heating’s commitment to comfort, simplicity and harmony in every space.
