Landmarc Support Services (Landmarc) has been awarded the Positive Climate Impact Award at the Metsä Sustainability Awards 2025 in recognition of its innovative approach to delivering sustainable soft facilities management (FM) services.
Hosted by Metsä Tissue, in partnership with the Cleaning & Services Support Association (CSSA), the annual awards celebrate organisations driving positive change across the cleaning and hygiene sector.

The ceremony took place at The Pelligon, Canary Wharf, London, where Landmarc was crowned winner of the Positive Climate Impact Award.
Working with specialist cleaning consultancy, Purozo, Landmarc has implemented a range of sustainable initiatives across the UK Defence Training Estate (DTE) to minimise environmental impact, reduce waste and improve operational efficiency. This includes the introduction of iMop waterless mopping systems, sugarcane fig toilet rolls and ‘Pod in a Pouch’ concentrated cleaning products – all designed to reduce resource use and supply chain carbon emissions.
These initiatives have already delivered measurable results over the last 24 months, including saving 535,000 litres of water in 2024, contributing to the planting of 3,528 fruit trees through the Sugarcane partnership and reducing supply chain carbon consumption.

Mark Neill, Managing Director at Landmarc, said: “We are incredibly proud to receive the Positive Climate Impact Award. It’s a testament to the dedication of our team and our shared commitment to sustainability. Environmental stewardship is at the heart of our role on the Defence Training Estate, and these initiatives mark important progress towards our ambition of achieving Net Zero by 2035. My sincere thanks to our team, the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO), and our supply chain partners for their continued support in helping us deliver on this ambition.”
Jamie Hutch, Soft FM Assurance Manager at Landmarc, added: “Over the past 24 months, our operational teams have embraced new technologies and innovative ways of working to improve our environmental impact. This award is testament to their hard work and dedication.”
Landmarc is the industry partner to the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) on the UK Defence Training Estate, supporting millions of training activities annually for the Armed Forces.
