Renewable synthetic gasoline from Synhelion was supplied to the Bernina Gran Turismo motorsport event in the Swiss Alps, which took place from September 11–13, 2026.
Under real racing conditions, Bernina Gran Turismo demonstrated that renewable synthetic gasoline can be used in existing combustion engines without modification, preserving the performance and driving experience of the cars.
The gasoline was produced at Synhelion’s industrial-scale synthetic fuel plant, DAWN, in Germany. Drivers were able to fuel their cars directly at Synhelion’s fueling station near the paddock at Bernina Ospizio.
Synhelion’s renewable synthetic gasoline reduces net CO2 emissions by up to 100% compared to fossil gasoline and is fully compliant with national and international standards. It can be used directly in conventional internal combustion engines without any modifications, offering a tangible solution to reduce emissions from the existing vehicle fleet. For the high-value, high-performance cars that competed in Bernina Gran Turismo, drop-in compatibility was key, allowing them to retain their existing engines and character.
