RAW Charging has expanded its electric vehicle charging network by installing charging points at one of Greene King’s Leicester venues.
The pub chain partnered with RAW Charging, one of the UK’s leading EV charging solution providers, to install charging points at The Heathley Park Pub & Grill in Groby Rd, Leicester.
Three AC units have been fitted which will provide space for up to six EVs to charge at one time. The AC charging points will provide customers and local residents with an easy and convenient charging solution while offering some of the lowest fees across the industry.
Visitors to Heathley Park Pub & Grill can now dine and socialise whilst topping up the battery on their EV. The new destination charging site offers visitors EV charging through an easy, reliable and affordable solution. During a two-hour visit to the venue, a customer’s EV could increase its charge by up to 70%.
Drivers are given the option to pay to charge through contactless debit and credit cards, a mobile app, or RFID cards. The new charging points will help meet the growing demand among EV drivers for destination charging – with an estimated 45% of motorists who are unable to charge their vehicle at home.
Last year RAW Charging announced a partnership with Greene King to deliver charging infrastructure at sites across the UK. Through a host ownership model, RAW Charging funds, installs and manages the ongoing support of all charging points to cater to the charging needs of visitors to Greene King venues.
