The RWM Expo will be taking place on the 12th and 13th of September at the NEC in Birmingham, and ever since Prysm Media Group acquired it, it’s on the tip of every UK environmental professionals tongue. This years event is running under new management and in order to see Prysm’s vision with RWM become a reality, the team have been hard at work making sure that this year is better than ever. From the big brands returning to the show, to a growing and diverse speaker roster, the Future Resource Expo running alongside RWM or the deeper focus on the business aspect of waste management, there is a lot to be excited about when talking about RWM 2018!

Having previously exhibited at RWM, the biggest brands in the waste industry will be returning to RWM, highlighting its leading position as the best expo of its kind in Europe.

JCB and Mercedes Benz will be setting up shop over the two day event, bringing with them their latest and greatest products for sale. This is a prime opportunity to rub shoulders with market leaders and become a part of their network.

Building from the roster last year, RWM boasts a who’s who of industry professionals to speak and distill their knowledge to the visitors. Ranging from members of parliament like Mary Creagh, Managing Directors like James Lee of Cromwell Polythene and David Newman, as well as the Head of Regulation Sam Corp from the Environmental Services Association. The topics discussed will be diverse, covering topics from the evolving methods of recycling and how we can best hit national recycling targets and the future of UK environmental policy.

The deeper focus on business growth was something set about by Prysm when acquiring RWM, and through setting up things like the Business Growth Theatre makes this focus a reality. Allowing companies to understand how effective waste management can benefit their overall business is an essential topic and one that RWM is tackling head on this year.

Understanding the need to broaden the horizons of the event, this year will also see the supply and demand zone upgraded to become the Future Resource Expo. A show in its own right, Future Resource will run alongside RWM and will be a tailored area looking deeper into the need for sustainable energy and the avenues we can go down to attain it. This is a fantastic addition to the event and highlights a quickly developing and hugely important sector within the waste and recycling industry!
