Sunbelt Rentals UK & Ireland has expanded its large-power offering with an investment in Cummins-powered 1250kVA generators from BGG.
This will its ability to support complex, multi-megawatt temporary power requirements across the UK, Ireland and Europe.
The investment adds greater capacity to the company’s existing power generation fleet, giving customers another option when load, resilience and space influence how temporary power needs to be planned. Combined with Sunbelt Rentals’ high-voltage electrical infrastructure and specialist engineering expertise, the 1250kVA units form part of larger temporary power systems designed around the operational requirements of transmissions, major infrastructure, data centres and critical projects.
The fleet comprises of trailer-mounted and standalone units configurated for rapid mobilisation, alongside FQ super silent and standard specification, allowing different configurations to be chosen around the technical environmental and logistical demands of each project and site.
Chris Dempsey, Executive Managing Director at Sunbelt Rentals, said: “We’re seeing the power requirements of the projects our customers are delivering continue to evolve, particularly where grid availability, resilience and the scale of energy required create additional complexity. Adding the Cummins 1250kVA generators strengthens the options available to our customers when a multi-megawatt or HV solution is required. Combined with our engineering expertise and national support network, it strengthens our ability to deliver power for every challenge, from initial design through to operation.”
