With the days gradually getting longer and the weather getting warmer, Navitron – a UK supplier and manufacturer of renewable energy – is encouraging installers throughout the UK to take advantage of summer’s arrival by pushing the benefits of solar power.
Stephen Knight, commercial director at Navitron, said: “The number of daylight hours will triple compared to winter over the coming months. Temperatures could soar up to the late twenties, making now the ideal time for installers to start selling the benefits of solar power in order to help property owners make the most of the sunlight set to come.
“With up to sixteen hours of daily daylight during May, June, July and August, customers have the potential to generate nearly ten times the amount of electricity they can during winter with solar PV panels.
“To give an example, London typically gets about 50-80 sunlight hours per month from November to January, but from May to August, the city gets about 200 every month. Theses figures might be a bit more or less in different areas of the country, but the proportion comparison will be about the same.” Offering solar PV panels from the industry’s leading manufacturers to its own range of solar thermal panels utilising highly efficient evacuated tube technology, Navitron offers an array of green energy solutions to meet the needs of any business or homeowner.
Stephen continued: “Also, this is the perfect time of year to install for customers to take full advantage of the government’s Feed-In Tariff (FIT) incentive.
“With the FIT allowing consumers to generate income from solar energy produced from PV panels, the opportunity to save even more money by adopting renewable technology increases substantially during the summer.
“By ensuring that customers are aware of the extra benefits available to them from solar power during the summer months, installers can capitalise on the warmer weather and summer months.”
