Following the huge success of the Ampd Energy Enertainer ESS, Ampd has now launched its NextGen product range.

The new ESS are once again aimed at industrial site power applications, and uptake so far has far exceeded expectations, showing that the world is clearly ready for the latest technology in temporary site power. The new product range, the Ampd 200 and Ampd 400, is targeted at heavy industrial sites, such as: Construction, Infrastructure, Concrete Batching, Oil & Gas, Microtunnelling, Ports, Mining, and also Events.

The NextGen products follow on from the Ampd Enertainer, which was the world’s first ESS built for challenging environments. The Enertainer has so far eliminated over 160,000 tonnes of CO2 and removed an equivalent of over 120,000 cars’ worth of air pollution (NOₓ, PM and SO₂).

These new products are Ampd’s toughest, most capable, highest-quality, and most adaptable yet. With up to 292 kW / 297 kVA (193 kW / 214 kVA continuous) and up to 585 kW / 595 kVA (386 kW / 428 kVA continuous) respectively, the new ESS are not just an update to the previous Enertainer range, but take power capability even further, opening up new markets and power applications. The quality that Ampd ESS has become known for continues in the new products, which are built to meet global standards. Both the Ampd 200 and Ampd 400 are certified by SGS, the world’s leading product certification body for the ESS industry, to the standards of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and Underwriters Laboratories (UL).

Ampd Energy launches next generation ESS

Ampd’s Chief Executive Officer, Anthony Stewart, had this to say: “This is the latest stage in Ampd’s journey to modernise how heavy industrial sites access mobile power and support their energy transition. With these new products, we can now cater to higher energy use cases.

“Combined with a higher IP rating, this expands our deployment opportunities in construction and enables us to break into new industries. We see the new Ampd range empowering us to support a wide array of heavy industries, improve productivity, deliver strong commercials, and make a positive environmental impact.”

The early rollout of these NextGen products has been extremely successful, illustrated by the high level of interest shown from the markets it has been made available to:

  • In Hong Kong, the first units are already out on customer sites helping to drive sustainability within heavy industries, with Lamma Power Station being the first site to benefit from the new products.
  • Ampd’s partner, WOLFF Onsite(part of the WOLFFKRAN group), has taken an order for the first two Ampd 200 units to land in the UK, with the first of which being sent straight to a Vinci Construction site.
  • United Rentals in the US has become the latest Ampd authorised distribution partner, taking several Ampd NextGen products as it expands its battery fleet across America.

The global roll out of the NextGen products will continue through 2026 and beyond, taking the latest ESS technology to the World’s heavy industrial sites and beyond. If you would like to find out more about Ampd Energy and the new products, visit our website: https://www.ampd.energy/products/all
