CGI has announced a partnership with Junifer Systems and Utiligroup to launch ER360, a comprehensive software solution designed to enable UK energy retailers to serve customers and respond quickly to regulatory and market changes.

ER360 offers a scalable, modular solution designed to provide a complete end-to-end system for both established energy retailers and new market entrants specifically for the UK energy market. As well as customer care and billing, ER360 allows the integration of modules such as energy forecasting, smart meter interaction and trading/risk management. The solution is preconfigured to meet UK specific billing and regulatory requirements such as Climate Change Levy, Ofgem reports and other specific energy sector legislation.

At the front end, Junifer’s Customer Information Systems (CIS) comprises customer care and billing applications, meter data management, prospecting and pricing, marketing data flow integration, process workflow (ticketing), accounts receivable and an open services enabler for enrolment and customer portal integration. Utiligroup’s Automated Flow Management System (AFMS) manages key processes and scenarios such as customer registration/loss and metering information flows, data flow management and exception processing. ER360 is fully integrated with the Smart Metering central DCC service, and also enables the management of Foundation smart meters through CGI’s Smart Data Service, built on Instant Energy.  ER360 can be deployed either on an energy retailer’s own IT infrastructure or as a hosted service on CGI’s secure cloud platform.

“The UK energy retail market is intensely competitive and one with seemingly constant regulatory change, so finding the right software not only to stay current but also drive business strategies forward can be a real challenge,” said Tara McGeehan, VP, Energy, Utilities and Telecoms CGI UK. “I am delighted to partner with Junifer and Utiligroup to announce ER360, a smart-enabled customer care and market interaction solution that is specifically designed for the UK market.”

“We are extremely pleased to be partnering with CGI on the launch of Energy Retail 360,” said Paul FitzGerald, Sales and Marketing Director of Junifer Systems. “CGI is a highly respected player in the utilities market with a proven track record in delivering innovative solutions to complex business challenges. Their decision to place Junifer Utility CIS at the heart of ER360 is a clear endorsement of the quality and robustness of our software.”

Matthew Hirst, CEO of Utiligroup, added: “This partnership with CGI and Junifer systems is a fantastic example of how successfully the energy and utilities sector is adapting to market changes. The growing demand for solutions such as ER360 is also representative of how dedicated energy retailers are aiming to provide great service to energy consumers. We are delighted to be involved in the development of a solution that I’ve no doubt will be of great use to both established suppliers and new entrants.”
