E.ON has become the first energy company to sign up to the energy industry’s Leaders’ Commitment created by TIDE – ‘Tackling Inclusion and Diversity in Energy’. TIDE is a cross-industry group aimed at improving equity, diversity and inclusion in energy, using insights from across the industry to share best practice and drive forward inclusion across the energy sector.
Chris Norbury, CEO of E.ON UK, said: “I believe we all have a responsibility for creating and maintaining a diverse and inclusive workplace where every single colleague is valued, respected, and able to thrive as their authentic self.
“I’m incredibly proud of the progress we’ve made and that E.ON has been recognised as one of the UK’s Top 50 Inclusive Employers for six years in a row. Signing up to TIDE’s Leaders’ Commitment is another important step on our journey to ensuring our commitment to diversity and inclusion is continued, as we work with other organisations to help drive our entire industry forwards together.”
More than a quarter of E.ON colleagues actively take part in E.ON’s inclusivity networks, bringing people from across the company together to share experiences and understanding of areas such as racial inclusion, gender equality, neurodiversity, parenting, LGBT+, menopause and mental health.
