Harvard Engineering, working in the design, development and manufacture of energy saving lighting solutions, has recently welcomed ten graduates and undergraduates into the company on a variety of schemes and placements.

Four graduates have started Harvard’s Operations Management and Commercial graduate schemes, four undergraduates have been taken on in summer placements – two in the engineering department, one in the marketing department, and one focusing on sales and business development, and two undergraduates on sandwich placements – one in Human Resources and one in a Sales and Business Development role.

Each of the graduates and undergraduates is on the company’s mentoring scheme to ensure they get the most out of their time at Harvard and are fully supported in their role.

Harvard has had success with graduate schemes in the past, offering two operations management graduate schemes, two engineering summer placements and a HR summer placement in 2013.

Joel Andrews has just completed the operations management graduate scheme and is now in the role of LeafNut operations manager. Joel commented, “The Harvard Graduate scheme has given me a fantastic insight into manufacturing operations and has fast-tracked my knowledge and understanding of business processes. I will be putting all that learning to good use in my new role, running our LeafNut operations end-to-end through the business.”
