With COP28 currently underway in Dubai, Rebecca Armstrong, managing director of Making Energy Greener, said:

“I eagerly anticipate the outcomes of COP28 in Dubai. This pivotal meeting of some of the world’s leading climate change experts, as well as the likes of King Charles, the Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, and Sir Keir Starmer, holds promise for advancing sustainable solutions and sparking the much needed adoption of retrofitting technologies, air source heat pumps, solar PV and energy efficient boilers. These may seem like small steps, but I’m hopeful that COP28 will stimulate policies advancing the widespread roll out of environmentally-friendly practices, despite being held in an oil state. Greenhouse gas emissions are still rising, and so I’m extremely hopeful that COP28 helps to drive real, impactful change which we can look back on as having made a substantial impact for future generations.”
