PoGo Charge, one of the fastest growing ultra-rapid EV Charge Point Operators (CPOs), has launched PoGo Introducing – a new initiative to ‘name’ the chargers across its network and add a little fun and local interest to the charging experience.
PoGo Introducing provides each of its sites and chargers with a unique name tied to a local theme that reflects the area’s culture and history. These can range from historic landmarks, famous faces, local legends or pop culture references – providing drivers with fun facts about the region.
At the Southgate Retail Park hub in Derby, for example, the site has been re-named ‘Charge Raiders’, in reference to the classic video game Tomb Raider, which was originally created and developed in the city during the 1990s. Each charger on the site has been named after famous characters from the games, including its protagonist, Lara Croft.
The new charger names are being teased across PoGo’s social media channels and can be found on its online library, where customers can search through the new themes by location or charger name.
Danielle Cort, Marketing Director at PoGo Charge, says that customer experience is at the heart of the business: “At PoGo Charge, we’ve focused on delivering insights and education that go beyond the basics, giving our customers more from their experience with us.
“We’re connecting our customers with local historic facts, stories and to local communities as we look to spark conversation and excitement from an otherwise everyday, though seamless, charging experience.”
Drivers can simply scan the QR code on the charger to find out more information on the new name and its link to the local area.
