The Tinytag Energy Logger from Gemini Data Loggers is a safe and non-invasive tool for testing and monitoring power usage of both single devices and complete premises/installations. The Energy Logger provides clear assessment of energy efficiency for rapid identification of power hungry or inefficient equipment, peak load and unnecessary idling times – in turn enabling cost savings to be made through implementation of new equipment and processes.

The Energy Logger combines ease of use with accurate, high level performance, and is suitable for monitoring single or three phase power supplies. Lightweight, portable and self-configuring, it is available as a hand-held unit for spot checks or as a data logger for longer term assessment. Logging can be initiated by the touch of a button, so users do not need a laptop to operate the device on site, and it does not require the exposure of any live wires or terminals so it is also safe. Like all Tinytags, the Energy Logger is configured with easy to use Tinytag Explorer software which provides clear viewing and management of data.

The Energy Logger will prove an essential tool for organisations aiming for a reduction in their energy consumption and assist with objectives for achieving or maintaining the ISO 14001 environmental standard. The Energy Logger costs £795 +VAT.

Other loggers in the Tinytag range accurately monitor parameters such as temperature, humidity and CO2 locally or throughout an entire building: data gathering and analysis of results will help identify areas where improvements can be made to reduce energy consumption, maximise cost savings and ensure the wellbeing of those inside. Typically, Tinytags are used to:

  • Record environmental conditions to help comply with H&S regulations
  • Help calculate building temperature losses and to monitor energy usage
  • Monitor the effects of different types of building materials, e.g. loft or wall insulation
  • Help validate heating, air-conditioning or climate control systems

Gemini Data Loggers was established in 1984 and designs and manufactures the Tinytag range at its headquarters in Chichester in the UK, trading globally with a network of over 40 distributors
