Rebecca Armstrong Managing Director Making Energy Greener

One day before the UK General Election, and Rebecca Armstrong, CEO, Making Energy Greener (pre-GE), commented:  “I’m expecting Sir Keir Starmer and the Labour Party to form the next government. First and foremost, I hope he sticks to his commitment to transforming Britain into a clean energy superpower. The climate crisis is the most significant long-term global threat we face, and I hope the prospective incoming Labour government takes the decisive action it promised during the campaign.

“I also hope that its green prosperity plan, including the proposal to invest in home insulation upgrades, is at the nexus of its broader green energy strategy. Labour has also consistently said that it’s going to be pro-business, and so I hope that Sir Keir Starmer sticks to this pledge and provides adequate funds for innovation, particularly through his National Wealth Fund, helping the UK become an enticing destination to start a business again.”
